Lando Buzzanca has died, the actor died at the age of 87
The world of cinema in mourning: Lando Buzzanca passed away today Sunday 18 December 2022, at 14.30 pm, at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome. He was 87 years old and, just a few weeks earlier, his son had announced his immediate resignation from the hospital in the next few days.
Black ribbon for the Italian comedy: he died today, at the age of 87 at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, Lando buzzanca, which after making its debut in 1959 in the cult film Ben-Hur, has become one of the most beloved faces of the Italian comedy films.
Only a few weeks before Buzzanca's son, Massimiliano, he had announced the immediate ones resignation from the polyclinic, place where the actor had been hospitalized after a fall from wheelchair.
Lando Buzzanca was hated by critics but loved by the public
The journey of Lando buzzanca, stage name of Gerlando Buzzanca, was not one of the simplest: initially hated by the critics, who considered him a B-series interpreter capable of imitating only the prototype of the slightly silly Sicilian male, the actor was however able to make his way into heart of the public, which in fact helped to make him famous rewarding movies including Italian divorce, Mr and Mrs e The male blackbird, just to name a few.
He also made his debut in 1960, but it was only in 2005, with the fiction My child, where he plays the father of a homosexual boy, who returns to be loved and appreciated by the public, even by the younger one who has not experienced the golden age of the sexy Italian comedy.
The last few years, on the other hand, have been marked by suffering: in 2013 he attempted suicide and, a few years later, more precisely after his last appearance on TV in W spouses a disabling disease irreversibly compromises them mental and cognitive faculties.
Leave two children, Maximilian and Mariohad by his wife Lucia Peralta, who died in 2010.
