He was just 25 years old: only seven years earlier, at 18, he had founded the Astro, one of the best known and most loved bands in the K-Pop universe.

Moonbin is just the latest in a long line of mysterious deaths among K-Pop stars
to Moonbin was the last case of a phenomenon that, in recent times, is affecting more and more K-Pop stars. In fact, before him, even if the South Korean press and record labels did everything possible to hide the truth, there were other cases of young stars who took their own lives or who, while not presenting previous pathologies, are mysteriously died suddenly.
Among the most striking we remember, in 2015, the singer Ahn So-jin, who jumped from the tenth floor of a building, and in 2017 Kim jong-hyun, the frontman of Shinee, who was found dead in a rented room in the Gangnam district.
Some speculating that behind these sudden deaths, there is the stress and the considerable pressure exerted by record labels on these bands, which are often made up of very young people.
