There are moments that change your life, and Andrea Dal Corso knows it well. Less than a month after the car accident that left him with multiple injuries to his arms, the former host of Uomini e Donne returns to social media to discuss the incident: first, describing how he's coping with rehabilitation and the aftermath, then remembering Pierina, the elderly woman who was killed in the accident.
She did so through a story shared on Instagram, in which she wrote: "My thoughts are with the family of the woman who tragically crossed my path twenty days ago." The husband of Teresa Langella, the first to post the news on social media, is still deeply affected by the episode, especially after learning the date of the woman's funeral.
"In the past few days, I received the news that the time had finally come to say his final farewell," it read. "I was deeply touched, as I had been trying to get news for days and truly hoped to be there, to personally express my respect and sympathy." But his health and the fact that he is away from home, having joined his wife's family for his father's 60th birthday, prevent him from doing so: "Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I would have liked; my mother will also be there to represent me and my family. Today, my thoughts are with them, with their grief, and with the void left by such a great loss."
Finally, Dal Corso concluded with a final thought for the victim, who shares his grandmother's name, a coincidence that made everything more profound: "In the midst of a story that for me has brought fear, pain, and a new understanding of life, I never forget that on the other side is a family who has lost a loved one. Dear Pierina, rest in peace."
