2024 Jet Ski Grand Prix, the races on the Naples seafront

From 3 to 5 May, Naples becomes the stage of 2024 Jet Ski Grand Prix City of Naples, inaugural event of the Italian Jet Ski Championship 2024. The event will take place on the splendid Lungomare Caracciolo, right in front of the beach Round Diaz, where the best drivers on the circuit will compete in exciting races.

Organized by the Asd Jet Ski Family Racing Team with the support of the Italian Motorboating Federation and the patronage of the Municipality of Naples, the Grand Prix is ​​a real water sports festival which attracts enthusiasts from all over Italy. The races, in fact, will be very engaging 23 different classes of watercraft with over 150 registered pilots!

The one in Naples is not the only stage of the Championship, in fact the second stage will follow will be held in Chioggia on 18 and 19 May, after which the third stage will take place in Ancona on 8 and 9 June. The fourth stage will be in Santa Cesarea on 7 and 8 September and finally the fifth and final stage will take place in Fiumicino on 21 and 22 September.

The programme: times of free practice and races

After the set-up on Friday 3 May, we start on Saturday 4 May with free practice scheduled for 9am. The first phases of the competition will take place from 15am to 11pm, while the second phase of the competition will start from 45pm.

The final day is Sunday 5 May with the start of activities at 9:00 with the first free practices. Also on Sunday we will have 2 phases of the race which will take place from 10am to 30pm and from 14pm to 00pm.

Motorcycle therapy for children with autism

An important part of the weekend event is the “Motor therapy“, an inclusion initiative planned for Friday May 3, during which children with autism will be able to experience the thrill of a ride on a jet ski, led by expert pilots, thanks to the collaboration with the "We can APS" association.

The event will take place starting 16 pm: 00 at the Rotonda Diaz.

Changes to the road system in the Lungomare area, stopping cars and bicycles

On the occasion of the City of Naples Grand Prix some have been activated temporary changes to traffic and the accessibility of some areas of Lungomare Caracciolo, in order to guarantee the safety and management of the event.

Here are the measures that will be active during the days of the event:

• Suspension of the cycle path
  The cycle path along via Caracciolo it will be closed from May 2nd at 10:00 am until May 6th at 12:00 pm. The affected section goes from Viale Dohrn to Piazza della Repubblica, allowing the event structures to be assembled and dismantled safely.
• Access to the Rotonda Diaz is prohibited
  During the competition days, from 3 to 5 May, access to the Rotonda Diaz area will be limited, including bathing and heliotherapy. A measure that was necessary to guarantee adequate space for the races and for the safety of participants and spectators.
