Granarolo recalls its béchamel sauce. Four other products have been recalled in recent days.

On September 4, 2025, the Ministry of Health announced a precautionary recall for Granarolo and other food brands. The recall concerns a batch of Granarolo "Cucina ad arte" UHT long-life béchamel sauce and some Terra Mia brand vegetable preserves . The recall has various reasons: for the béchamel sauce, it is due to a chemical risk related to possible residues of detergents used for cleaning equipment, while for the Terra Mia products, the cause is microbiological risk. Details of the affected batches and types are provided below.

Products recalled due to chemical risk

The recall for chemical risk concerns possible contamination with substances unfit for consumption. In the case of Granarolo béchamel, internal controls detected traces of chemicals from washing processes.

Products recalled due to microbiological risk

The microbiological risk recall is related to the possible presence of microorganisms that could compromise food safety. For this reason, some Terra Mia branded vegetable preserves have been recalled.
