Il new law decree introduces rigid measures to try to contain the spread of the pandemic in our country. There is a lot of confusion, by now the information is too much and often it is conveyed in a chaotic way.

We try to take stock of the situation especially with regard to Reinforced Green Pass which in the new law decree is imposed as compulsory to access certain places.

What is the Enhanced Green Pass

The Reinforced Green Pass is the COVID 19 green certification certifying the vaccination or recent recovery from the Covid-19 infection.

It will not be obtained by doing a rapid or molecular antigen test.

How to get the Enhanced Green Pass

By vaccinating. those who are vaccinated with 2 or 3 doses possess it, but those who have 1 dose can also receive it (but 15 days after vaccination). For Enhanced Green Pass we mean the Green Certification already in force, it is in no way a new certification.

Recovering from Covid. Even those who have recovered from Covid for less than 6 months can get it.

Where the Enhanced Green Pass is required

The places to show it according to the decree of the end of November:

  • indoor restaurants and bars;
  • theaters;
  • cinema;
  • concert halls;
  • stages;
  • public parties and ceremonies;
  • discos.

From 10 January it will be extended to almost all social and recreational activities, so in addition to the places already mentioned, it will be mandatory for the following activities:

  • use of means of transport, also for transport local or regional public;
  • hotels and accommodation facilities;
  • feasts resulting from civil or religious ceremonies;
  • festivals and fairs;
  • convention centers;
  • outdoor catering services;
  • ski lifts with tourist-commercial purposes even if located in ski areas;
  • gyms;
  • swimming pools, swimming centers, team sports and wellness centers, even outdoors;
  • Museums;
  • cultural centers, wellness centers, social and recreational centers for outdoor activities;
  • game rooms;
  • bingo halls;
  • casino.

Therefore, for such activities the negative test is no longer sufficient.

What is the difference with the regular Green Pass

The substantial difference between Reinforced Green Pass and Basic Green Pass lies solely and exclusively in the fact that the second (Green Pass Base) can also be obtained by carrying out a rapid or molecular antigen test.

We remind you, however, that the expiry date of the Green Certification will pass from 9 to 6 months starting from 1 February 2022.

Super Green Pass vs Reinforced Green Pass

Super Green Pass and Enhanced Green Pass are the same certification, they are just two terms that are used for the same concept.

What is the Mega Green Pass

Finally, the Mega Green pass is the latest evolution of the green certificate and is only obtained after administration of the third dose (booster dose).

Currently it is not mandatory for access to any place, except to access the Nursing homes. It being understood that these residences can also be accessed with a Reinforced Green Pass (with double dose) + negative result of a test (rapid or molecular).

In summary, the Mega Green Pass is obtained:

  • with 3 doses of vaccine
  • with Green Pass Strengthened with 2 doses + negative test (rapid or molecular)
