Greenpass on means of transport in Campania: when and where it is needed

As we have already anticipated, the Green Pass will be mandatory from 1 September 2021 also on means of transport. Of course, the rule applies throughout Italy, including the Campania region.

The Green Certification, which is issued to whoever it is vaccinated, has made a swab with negative result and be recovered from Covid, it is increasingly a tool that has entered our daily life and from September it will be even more so since we will also have to show it on means of transport.

Of course we remember that theuse of the mask is always mandatory with regard to public and private transport.

But on what means will it be mandatory? Let's find out together.

The Green Pass on trains and buses

The Green Pass will be mandatory to travel on High Speed trains, on Intercity and on Intercity Night. Regional trains are excluded from the account, while buses traveling from one Region to another, therefore between two or more Regions, fall within the obligation.

In addition, the Green Pass will also be mandatory for the buses used for rental with driver.

The Green Pass on ships and ferries

The certificate is required to travel on the ships and on ferries carrying out interregional transport. So if you leave Campania to reach another region, you must have the Green Pass.

The only exception in Italy is for vehicles traveling on the Strait of Messina: in this case, it is not mandatory to show the Green Pass to get on the ferries used to cross the Strait.

Metro, bus, Cumana and Circumvesuviana in Naples

For local public transport the Green Pass is not compulsory at the moment, therefore Metro lines 1 and 2, buses, Cumana and Circumvesuviana are exempt, as well as other local means of transport.

In these cases, the mask must always be worn and the maximum capacity allowed in relation to the number of passengers must be respected. We recall that the Government has provided for i controllers on board to verify these conditions.
