The show, from the title Insania - the madness within, will be an exclusive opportunity to visit the Museum of Folly, the exhibition curated by Vittorio Sgarbi and set up in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore at Pietrasanta, extraordinarily in evening and night hours that will make the event even more impressive. The dramatized path is designed, written and directed by Febo Quercia.
La guided tour it adapts perfectly to the artistic exhibition of the Museum of Folly, where you can discover and get to know the artists and authors who, over the centuries, have treated the theme of madness or they themselves were victims of mental illness.
Insania - the madness within: a journey into the mind of a mentally ill person
The show will lead visitors in a virtual path in the mind of a mentally ill person, of which we highlight the manias, fears and awareness, but is also configured as a real journey in time and in works, which show how the consideration of this condition has changed over time.
From the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, from France to England, from ancient times to more recent times, from Vincenzo Gemito to Francisco Goya, from Francis Bacon to Fausto Pirandello, human folly has always been told in different ways, which can be understood by visiting every single room and admiring every work of the Museo della Follia and through the path created by NarteA to make the spectator interact with art. In conclusion, a unique sensory experience that will transmit to the public the awareness that madness belongs to us human beings in the same way as reason.
