Half Marathon in Naples, traffic device and closed roads

Sunday 23 February 2025, Naples will host the Half Marathon, a sporting event that will lead to significant changes to traffic from 01:00 until needs cease. During this interval, several streets in the city will be closed to traffic, resulting in changes to public transport operated by ANM.

Circulation device

Road closures

  • From 01:00am To: 13:00pm: no transit allowed on Kennedy Avenue, except for emergency vehicles and authorized vehicles. The section between Labriola Street and Usodimare Street will be reopened from 09:20.
  • From 07:00am To: 13:00pm: traffic ban along the race route:
    • Viale Kennedy (start), Piazzale Tecchio, Via Giulio Cesare, Via Fuorigrotta, Galleria Laziale, Piazza Sannazaro, Via Sannazaro, Via Caracciolo, Rotonda Diaz, Piazza Vittoria, Via Partenope, Via Nazario Sauro, Via Ammiraglio Acton, Via C. Colombo, Via Nuova Marina, Via Vespucci, Ponte della Maddalena, Via Volta, Corso Umberto, Piazza Bovio, Piazza Municipio, Galleria della Vittoria, Via Arcoleo, Via Caracciolo, and return to the finish line on Viale Kennedy.

Prohibitions and suspensions

  • Tow Away Zone along the entire race route.
  • Suspension of taxi areas along the affected roads.
  • Interruption of public transport stops in sections closed to traffic.
  • Suspension of parking spaces for tourist buses su Via Marina and at Porta di Massa.
  • Blocking of cycling routes within the demonstration area.
  • Suspension of bus parking area in Phlegraean Fields Square.

Changes to public transport service

Tram line

  • The tram service will operate exclusively on the route Saint John – Saint Erasmus.

Suspension of lines

  • Lines 128, 154, 202, C1 and C56 will suspended until 13:00.

Main line deviations

  • Line 151 and R2: path changed on Upper Garibaldi Street, Carlo III Square, Foria Street, Dante Square, Toledo Street, Matteotti Square, Medina Street and Town Hall Square.
  • Alibus line: service limited to the route Airport – Garibaldi Square, with a stop in the parking area and direct journeys between Port and Airport.
  • Lines 116, 156, 175, 196: deviation on Lucci Street and Ferraris Street, without transit from Piazza Garibaldi.
  • Line 195: deviation on Via Volta, Corso Lucci and Via Gianturco, with inversion to Sant'Erasmo.
  • 201 and 204 lines: limited route up to National Museum.

Moving the termini

  • The lines 181, R6, 502 and 618 they will move the terminus to theDiego Armando Maradona Stadium parking area.
