You will certainly have happened to receive phone calls from telemarketers on your mobile phones intent on offering you discounts and new promotions, phone calls that may arrive at the least opportune moments and even several times a day.

If you are tired of receiving this type of calls starting from July 27th you can subscribe to Register of Oppositions, or one free tool of the Ministry of Economic Development which will allow you to block phone calls from telemarking operators.

This service has existed for landlines since 2010, but has only now been activated for smartphones.

Who can register in the Public Register of Oppositions

How to join the RPO

Here are the three ways to register to the Register of Oppositions:

  • Send the form by e-mail to registration@registrodelleopposizioni.it

If you decide to sign up online, once the official website is open, there are two routes, one for citizens and one for Telco operators. By clicking on the link "For the citizen”You can choose to register via SPID or proceed without authentication.

In this way, the operators who will be responsible for carrying out telemarketing activities will be obliged to consult the Register from month to month. If there is a violation, there will be pecuniary administrative sanctions of up to 20 million euros.
