Second edition of History lessons at the Bellini Theater and other locations in Naples: scheduled meetings and interventions by numerous historians during the festival!
From February 27th to March 1st 2020 Naples welcomes the second edition of History lessons Festival, a really interesting event ad free entry.
History Festival lessons will take place in different places in Naples such as the Teatro Bellini, which will be the main venue of the event, but also MANN Museum, MOTHER Museum, Conservatory in Majella, Academy of Fine Arts and Liceo Vittorio Emanuele II, prestigious partners in the realization of this initiative.
The theme of the Festival
The theme of this second edition is "Us and them", a starting point for reflection on the community that has been grouped since ancient times, keeping the figure of the single self clearly distinct. The theme will be developed in the most disparate forms by crossing literature, art, cinema, comics and music.
The meetings of the Festival
More than forty-nine appointments, fourteen collateral events with the most authoritative Italian and foreign historians, such as Simona Colazi, Eva Cantarella, Alessandro Barbero, Andrea Giardina, Elisabetta Lezzosi and others.
Massimo Montanari will explain the unusual link between different cultures in the history of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Gianni Mura and Beppe Smorto will tell us about sports tribes and how sometimes one's identity can be found in a team's shirt. And then again interventions on Toto 'and Maradona.
Other topics covered will then be art, painting and copious attention will also be paid to music, with particular reference to Neapolitan songs.
