I Viaggi del Capitan Matamoros, theatrical performances in the historic palaces of Naples

Thanks to the initiative "I Viaggi del Capitan Matamoros" we will be able to attend a series of theatrical performances in the most beautiful historic buildings in Naples

Naples is a city rich in history and art and often its monuments and palaces, as well as its churches, are used as locations for theatrical performances or concerts.

Thanks to cooperative En Kài Pan, even during the month of September themeeting between art and history it will become reality through a series of shows that will be organized inside the most important and beautiful basilicas and palaces of the historic center of Naples.
This is the initiative "The trips of Captain Matamoros”Which will develop with two shows a week Until 23 September 2014, conceived by a company of actors whose leader calls himself Captain Matamoros. Convinced that he is the soul of a great actor, the man will lead the group of actors and spectators through different historical periods, collecting on the way everything they need to revive their theater.

We will thus have the opportunity not only to rediscover key places in our city, but also to attend theatrical performances of great interest. The buildings involved in the planning will be the Basilica of San Giovanni Maggiore, Palazzo dello Spagnolo, the Pharmacy and courtyard of the Hospital of Santa Maria del Popolo degli Incurabili and the Hermann Nitsch Museum.

Each show will start at 20.30 and will last one hour. From 19.30 pm, before the shows, a visit to the locations will be organized by En Kai Pan, in collaboration with the partners.
