One of the most successful TV series of the last decades is “Inspector Montalbano”, transmitted by Rai by 1999 and based on the acclaimed author's novels Andrea Camilleri.
The series follows the events of Commissioner Salvo Montalbano, a man with a sometimes irascible character but deeply invested in solving problems crimes that plague the fictional city of Vigatain Sicilia. With the help of collaborators like Mimì Augello and Giuseppe Fazio, Montalbano finds himself facing cases that often touch on the dark world of organized crime and corruption.

The complexity of the investigation that opens up before Montalbano in this episode is underlined by the appearance of a body in an advanced state of decomposition.
Discovered during his morning swimming routine, the commissioner is immediately aware that this is a case of murder. The wounds on the wrists and ankles of the deceased, later identified as the Calabrian fugitive Ernesto Errera, they report a crime perpetrated with extreme cruelty.
With the identification of the victim, carried out by the clumsy but invaluable agent Catarella, the investigation takes a turn unexpected turn.
The story becomes even more intricate when Montalbano witnesses the landing of a group of migrants at the port of Vigata.
