The Grand Carnival of Maiori returns with a great party and parades of allegorical floats

A Maiori everything is ready to welcome the celebrations for the forty-eight edition of the famous Great Carnival. The event was postponed due to the health emergency and rescheduled in the spring.

In particular, the appointments with the various activities will take place in two weekends of 7 and 15 May 2022. The large allegorical floats, which were made by you know master craftsmen last winter. The theme to which they will be dedicated will be that of Voyage. But not only that, because an important message of peace will also be transmitted with the faces of Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Gandhi.

In addition, there will also be representatives of some of the Historical Carnivals of Italy, such as Viareggio, Foiano della Chiana and Palma Campania. The wonderful floats will parade along a path that goes from Via Nuova Chiunzi to the Lungomare at the Tourist Port.

• 11: 30-16: 30 transfer of the allegorical floats to Via Nuova Chiunzi
• 15:30 pm the concert of the US Naval Forces Europe and African Band at the Maiori seafront
• 16: 30-20: 30 first parade of the Grand Carnival of Maiori between Via Nuova Chiunzi - Lungomare and Porto Turistico

May 14

• 20 pm at the Tourist Port Balli di Latino Americani by the Havana Dance group

May 15

• From 16 pm second and last parade of allegorical floats between Via Nuova Chiunzi - Lungomare and Porto Turistico
• 3D Video Mapping dedicated to the theme of Travel
• Award ceremony
