In Campania the best pandoro and panettone in Italy: Naples and Salerno awarded

Pandoro and sugar for Christmas sweet

Once again the Campania region is at the top of the rankings, in this case we refer to the sixth edition of Master Panettone, or the competition that rewards the best homemade Christmas leavened products in Italy.

Campania was therefore awarded the prize for best traditional panettone and best artisan pandoro 2022. The final of the race took place on November 8, 2022 at the Parco dei Principi Hotel in Bari and in live streaming on the official facebook page. But let's see who the awarded pastry chefs are.

Who are the award-winning pastry chefs

The technical jury, made up of professionals in the sector, namely Giambattista Montanari, Eustachio Sapone, Francesco Borioli, Giuseppe Mancini, Antonio Daloise and Matteo Dolcemascolo, through completely blind tastings, decreed the winners, two pastry chefs from Campania.

In particular, the winner of the category Best traditional artisan panettone was the panettone of Fiorenzo Ascolese of the Ascolese Bakery of San Valentino Torio in Salerno, instead for the category Best handcrafted pandoro was awarded the pandoro of Marco Infante of Casa Infante of Naples.

It is a pandoro rich in butter, with a citrus smell and icing sugar scented with vanilla beans from Madagascar.
