The 2015 Ischia Film Festival will take place in the Aragonese Castle of the island with a competition that will award the best films and documentaries related to the territory of a city, region or nation
THEIschia Film Festival it has now reached its thirteenth edition as an integral part of the Cinema e Teorritorio project, created by the Art Movie and Music association with the aim of spreading film culture and rewarding the best artists in the sector.
The review takes place every year during the summer in the suggestive location of the Aragonese Castle and is set up as an International Award with great prominence in the world of cinema that enhances both established and emerging young filmmakers.
Next year's edition will take place 27 from June to July 4 2015, in the halls, in the Piazzale delle Armi, in the baroque cathedral and on the terrace of the Castle.
The Ischia Film Festival is judged by one jury of experts in the film industry and in the world of the press, a jury that focuses particularly on the works that exalt the location and territory within it, highlighting their cultural and artistic importance in the history of a place.
The films and documentaries participating in the competition come from all over the world and the calendar of events in the program is always full of projections, meetings and exhibitions.
All the works are divided into feature films, short films and documentaries and are subdivided into four different sections: Official Competition, Negated Location, First Floor and Scenarios.
In line with the basic idea of the Festival, that is to tell the territories and make them protagonists, every year a deepening on a foreign nation or on an Italian region.
In addition, the interesting exhibitions and meetings with great actors and directors, many of which are Oscar-winning, as well as producers and set designers, as well as conferences, photo bookstores and workshops make the event a unique event of its kind.
In order to participate in the Festival it is necessary to fill in the form on the site of the review or follow the other instructions indicated. The deadline is set for 31 March 2015.
