James Senese & Napoli Centrale will perform at Arenile Reload offering their typical sound that mixes Neapolitan tradition and international music
A concert not to be missed will be held on the Arenile Reload stage on November 30th. For the concert review "We Are”The legendary and timeless ones will play James Senese & Central Naples.
They will propose the musical project "Song“, Which blends the notes of the Neapolitan tradition with international music. A fusion that has always enriched our sounds, paying them homage at the same time.
“Song” is, then, a word with a double meaning: in Neapolitan it means “I am” and thus wants to underline our origins. Song, however, is also the English word for "song" and the union of these two meanings best represents what James Senese wants to convey to us.
The Napoli Centrale, then, have always been a perfect mix of many incredible genres: rock, jazz, progressive and Neapolitan popular music; mix that managed to create that hard but pleasant sound that many of us have loved and continue to love.
On the other hand, this result stems from those who have always been James Senese's idols. From the inevitable Miles Davis to John Coltrane and the Weather Report, to which must be added the sounds of our Neapolitan style.
But his words are enough to fully understand the feelings that flower from the music he creates with Central Naples:
"I was born black and I was born in Miano, I play tenor and soprano sax, I play it halfway between Naples and the Bronx, studio Coltrane, from morning to night, I'm in love with Miles Davis, Weather Report and more I always instinctively created, trying to find my own language, never copying anyone. My sax brings them scars of joy and pain of life".
