Jazz in Naples, free concerts at Maschio Angioino

From the 28 30 April, Maschio Angioino hosts the Second edition of International Jazz Day, promoted by City of Naples and organized by Arealive. Three evenings of free music open to all, designed to bring the jazz in the heart of the city with international artists and performances that cross genres.

What makes International Jazz Day in Naples special?

The program for the 2025 edition focuses on artistic quality e sound contamination. Each evening is designed to offer a different musical journey, highlighting both the big names of the international scene and experimental sounds. The Maschio Angioino, a symbolic place of Naples, becomes the meeting point between Story e musical innovation.

  • Il 28th April opens Pink Brunello with “Senseless Acts Of Love”. An unreleased performance that blends free improv, dub, rock and influences South American.
  • Il 29th April, Antonio Farao pays tribute to McCoy Tyner together with Yuri Golubev and Vladimir Kostadinovi.
  • Il 30th April, explosive closure with the Blue Lab Beats, a London-based collective that blends jazz, hip hop, afrobeat, drunk ed electronics.

What other initiatives are planned in the city besides the main concerts?

In addition to the main stage, the initiative expands with a OFF program full of events spread throughout Naples, from 24 April at 4 MayThe aim is to transform the city into a real urban stage dedicated to jazz:

  • Jam sessions e itinerant performances in new locations
  • Masterclass and meetings with musicians
  • Involvement of local and international artists

Il OFF Program aims to bring the jazz as a collective experience: an opportunity to discover new sounds, actively participate and support the Neapolitan music scene.

Why is jazz central to the city's cultural strategy?

The project is part of a broader path linked to Naples City of Music, a strategic initiative of the Municipality to enhance the local professionals and relaunch the creative sector. As stated by the Mayor's delegate Ferdinando Tozzi, the goal is to consolidate Naples as Music City at an international level, exploiting the economic and social potential of the music industry.

Il Maschio Angioino, currently the subject of enhancement interventions, is confirmed privileged location for cultural events high profile. A symbolic and strategic point of reference for a musical program that unites tradition and contemporaneity.
