The Night of the 2013 Museums: the list of museums open in Naples
Resumes this year, after the suspension of the last edition, The Night of the Museums, the European event that will allow the extraordinary opening until late at night of the museums of 30 European countries and of many cities also in Italy. A unique and unmissable opportunity to experience the thrill of visiting artistic and cultural places at unconventional times, and let yourself be overwhelmed by the magical suggestions of museums in the moonlight.
Even some of the Neapolitan museums will join the interesting initiative that will be held, simultaneously throughout Europe, in the night between 18 and 19 May 2013, from 20 on Saturday up to 2 on Sunday morning, at admission completely free.
Along with the classic museum visits will be cultural initiatives of all kinds, which will involve music, theater, live performances, cinema.

Federico II University Museums
I Museums of Federico II open to the public from 12: 00 to 24: 00, with guided tours on reservation:

Museum complex of Santa Maria delle Anime of Purgatory in Arco
To discover and visit the Church, the Opera Museum and the Hypogeum where the ancient cult of the souls in Purgatory is contained.
With guided tours every 30 minutes starting from 19,00 hours; last visit 22,30 hours, included in the entry fee.

Civic Museum and New Castle
The event Within the walls of the Castle - The Cavaliers, the Arme and the duels at the court of Aragon will be held from 10: 00 at 22: 00 at the civic Museum, in the royal palace of Castel Nuovo. The castle, from the Aragonese period, collects goods of historical and artistic value from the collection of XNUMXth century works belonging to the municipality and from works from the XNUMXth to the XNUMXth century.

Museum of the Sea
The extraordinary Museum of the Sea of Pozzuoli opens its doors to everyone to spend a night admiring the stars and the celestial sphere with the telescope and navigating “virtually” with the maneuver simulator. Open from 19:30 pm to 1:00 am.

Diocesan Museum of Nola
The event will be held Nola: art meets cinema at the Diocesan Museum, from 19:30 pm, with guided tour of the Museum. From 21 pm the Corto Cultural Classic Award - Author and independent cinema will be held. Until 00pm.

The official partner of the Night of the 2013 Museums will be Instagramers Italy, the Italian community of fans of Instagram, the most popular app for photographing and creating photographic effects of all kinds in the world!
Anyone, during the night of May 18, can take pictures in the museums of their city to tell their Night of Museums, and post their photos on Instagram using the tag #ndmigersitalia13. They will all be published on a portal, on a dedicated page!
