The Nights of Santa Tecla 2026 in Montecorvino Pugliano

On August 28, 29, and 30, 2026, Santa Tecla di Montecorvino Pugliano, in the province of Salerno, lights up with the first edition of Le Notti di Santa Tecla: le vie della Taranta . Three evenings where music, folklore, ancient traditions, and gastronomy meet in this hamlet in the Salerno municipality.

The gastronomic journey

Taste will take center stage, with a rich selection of traditional dishes. First courses include lagane and chickpeas , cavatelli allardiati with beans , and fusilli with provola and eggplant sauce.

The journey continues with the second courses: grilled meats with veal, capocollo, and pork sausage accompanied by salad and cherry tomatoes, traditional ragù with rib, beef, sausage, and pork rind, pork sfrionzola with papacelle and potatoes , and arrosticini.

The most beloved local delicacies will be available: caciocavallo impiccato , parmizzona , and roasted scamorza with potatoes and porcini mushrooms , as well as desserts, drinks, and a large street food area. Throughout the three evenings, there will be stands selling gluten-free products and a children's area.

The musical program

Folk music is the common thread throughout the evenings. On Friday, August 28th, the Bellizzica group will perform, followed by Tarantella disco folk. On Saturday, August 29th , the folk music company L'Antiqua Giostra will perform, along with the Terra Mia dance show by Tocco di Classe and the closing DJ set.

The Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, one of the best-known names on the pizzica and taranta scene, closes on Sunday, August 30th .

Who organizes

The event is organized by the Municipality of Montecorvino Pugliano . “The Nights of Santa Tecla was created with the aim of promoting the local gastronomic heritage and creating a meeting opportunity that can involve residents and visitors,” explains Mayor Alessandro Chiola , who thanks all those who will contribute to the realization of the event and the volunteers.
