The streets of Pino, Naples celebrates 10 years without Pino Daniele. Program

The Municipality of Naples has organized two special days, January 4 and 5, 2025, to remember Pino Daniele on the tenth anniversary of his death. Through music, stories and tours in the alleys and squares that marked his life, the city pays homage to the Neapolitan singer-songwriter.

The celebrations include a musical itinerary that passes through the places where the young Pino took his first steps in music, offering an immersive experience for citizens and tourists.

Saturday January 4 2025

An immersive experience from 10: 00 to 22: 00 which will involve the streets of the old centre of Naples:

• Sound installations with a selection of iconic and lesser-known songs by Pino Daniele.
• Acoustic performances by three street artists: Morena Light, Cecilia Ricci e Faly Lamp.
• Musical path that begins at Piazza Santa Maria La Nova and develops up to theElena di Savoia Diaz Institute.
• Collaboration of Municipalities and local merchants to enrich the experience.

Sunday January 5 2025

The day will offer several initiatives to remember the art and life of Pino Daniele:

• Tour “Napul is…The places of Pino Daniele”, organized by the FAI of Naples:
  • Departure at 10:00 from Piazza Bellini and to 12:00 from Piazza Santa Maria La Nova.
  • Guided tours with stories and anecdotes about the singer-songwriter's life, led by Carmine Aymone e Michelangelo Iossa.
  • Free participation upon reservation on the website Italian Environment Fund.
• Gospel concert 19:30, at the Church of the Immaculate Mary of the Miraculous Medal:
  • Performance of the Blue Gospel Singers Choir with gospel reinterpretations of Pino Daniele's songs.
  • Concluding event of about an hour that combines emotion and musical innovation.

Pino Daniele was not only a singer-songwriter, but a symbol of the cultural identity of Naples. His music has told the story of the city in its most authentic aspects, becoming a permanent soundtrack for generations of Neapolitans. As the Mayor of Naples stated, Gaetano Manfredi, “Pino will always be among us, with his eternal music and his deep bond with Naples”.
