Battipaglia-Sapri line, train circulation suspended from 22 July

From 22 to 26 July, rail traffic on the Battipaglia-Sapri line will be suspended. The suspension, from 22pm on Monday 00nd July to 22am on Friday 6th July, is necessary to remove the wagons derailed following the derailment on 9 July and complete the infrastructure restoration work, after the findings of the competent authorities.

Guaranteed rest stops
During this period, the trains that will circulate, in greatly reduced numbers, will only stop at the stations of:
- Battipaglia
- Vallo della Lucania
- Sapri
Impacts on high-speed, intercity and regional travel
The changes to the circulation program of high-speed, intercity and regional trains will entail:
- increase of travel times
- limitations on some routes
- cancellations of some races
We therefore recommend that you always check the updated timetables and any changes before traveling and always consider a significant delay (more than an hour) on your travels, especially if you have connections.
