At Maschio Angioino in Naples opens an unpublished underground path

Under one of the towers of Maschio Angioino in Naples opens a new route to be explored with guided tours.

Saturday October 20 2018 at the 11.00 a new itinerary will be presented at the Maschio Angioino from Naples, an unpublished underground route through which you can explore the areas located under the Torre San Giorgio, one of the five towers of the manor built in medieval times. The presentation is by the TimeLine cultural association.

To be a guide in the unpublished path will be a team of professionals composed of speleologists, geologists and archaeologists who will show the public that hidden part of the castle that has remained unexplored so far. The initiative, called SpeleoEvo, aims to enhance the ancient castle built at the behest of Charles I of Anjou in 1266 and then renovated by Alfonso of Aragon.

During the presentation of the new itinerary is also provided a rope performance on the castle walls, inside the courtyard, by the Timeline Napoli team accompanied by the explanation of the entire SpeleoEvo project.
