Mann in Naples, Thursday evening at 2 euros with concerts and guided tours

From 8 July to 16 September 2021 the National Archaeological Museum of Naples proposes the evening openings on Thursdays at the price of only 2 €.

Excluding last year, when this initiative saw a forced suspension due to the pandemic, each year the Mann opened in the evening hours once a week to allow anyone to visit the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions and to do so at a very advantageous cost.

A nice program of events between concerts, meetings and workshops for children.

Mann's exhibitions and collections

During the evening openings you can visit the exhibition on Gladiators with nearly 200 exhibits found in the Sala della Meridiana, including the Gladiatorimania section.

Of course, one cannot fail to take a tour of the many permanent sections among which there are Farnese collection with finds from Rome, the Pompeian collections almost all Bourbon and the Egyptian collection, the third largest in the world. Then there are the Topographic Collection, That Epigraphic , Numismatic Collection.

8 July

  • 19.00 pm the Pietrasanta Choir in the Garden of the Fountains directed by Rosario Peluso. The concert is titled "Memory becomes song" with music by Mendelssohn, Brahms and Rossini. Reservation required.
  • at 20.00 in the Salone della Meridiana the videogame “Gladiatores” will be illustrated by the creatives of Annales Ars Campus. Reservations required at info.annalesars@gmail.com

15 July

  • 19.30 pm the breastfeeding chair donated by Soroptimist Italia will be shown. It takes place in the Atrium
  • 20.00 pm show "Reading Neapolitan legends" by Francesca Muoio and Luca Trezza in the Garden of the Fountains. The Neapolitan culture between literature and theater will be told between Giovan Battista Basile, Annibale Ruccello, Enzo Moscato and other authors. It will come

  • 20.30 pm exhibition “Moebius. In search of time ”by Comicon, a path dedicated to Jean Giraud's solo show. In addition, there is the "Behind the scenes" exhibition with the exceptional opening of the restoration laboratories

  • 20.30 pm Tales from the Collections: the itinerary for families and children with stories about the sections of the Museum, between archeology and emotions.

How to book

La booking for entry it is not compulsory, but it is recommended. Reservations are required for guided tours and workshops. The reservation for the guided tours scheduled in the various evenings and also the restoration workshops must be made on site on Thursday at the Info Point of the Museum from 20.00.
