The Marinella Park: the green lung of the city

The Park is a huge area located in via Amerigo Vespucci, between bastion of the Carmine, former cavalry barracks, Fish market and public housing. For too many years there has been total abandonment and too many people have lived in decay and in poor hygienic and sanitary conditions. In fact, there were barracks and Roma camps and many homeless people and drug addicts lived there.

The area was overrun with weeds and waste, but today, after so many postponements and delays, total cleaning is underway, after which there will be reclamation, as there are funds available. After cleaning, therefreshment building, the shelter space for gardeners , cavea for public events.

In this way the Marinella Park will be a perfect place for anyone and they will be there olive and citrus trees, plant, fountains, areas for walking and resting.
