Christmas atmosphere for the Markets at the Medicean Castle of Ottaviano, between music, art and good food
From 3 to 18 December 2016 i will take place Markets at the Castle. To be the setting for this Christmas event so eagerly awaited by citizens and visitors is the Mediceo Castle of Ottaviano, located at the foot of Vesuvius.
The event, organized by the Pro Loco Ottaviano in collaboration with the municipality of Ottaviano and the patronage of the Vesuvius National Park, in the previous edition had a huge success at national level which earned it the "Italive 2015 Award as" Best Market of 'Italia ”in the“ Christmas Markets ”category.
Also this year the Pro Loco wanted to highlight the image of the Medici Palace and the territory by promoting excursions and guided tours in places of greater historical and artistic importance. For visitors will be made available a exclusive train which, starting from the main streets of the town, will lead them to the castle where they will find a magical atmosphere, lights with special games, concerts, Christmas and theatrical shows, buskers and Christmas choirs.
There will be 90 exhibitors who will exhibit the products ofcreative crafts and local food and wine products, excellent for little Christmas cakes. Visitors will be able to visit the frescoed and renovated rooms of the castle and admire the vintage photos, as well as two refreshment areas with bars, creperie, cornetteries, patisseries, grafferie, pizzerias, sandwich shops, fryers, takeaways and restaurateurs.
