In the suggestive Baroque frame of the Sansevero chapel realized by Prince Raimondo di Sangro there will be a very interesting review dedicated to literature, music and theatrical performances.
marvel is a cultural initiative that will last five days, from the 7 May to the 4 June, to five Tuesday. The theme of the review will be the concept of "wonder", linked to the complex personality of the Prince of Sansevero, to his many interests and to his inventiveness. Raimondo di Sangro, in fact, he was the creator of the new architectural structure of the chapel, of the statues placed inside it (including the famous Veiled Christ), and of the pictorial works of which he himself produced the colors, inventing new techniques. He was also a scientist, anatomist, esotericist, alchemist and Italian scholar.
From May 7 to 4 June, inside the Sansevero Chapel, in addition to admiring the sculptural and pictorial works, you can attend theatrical performances, literary readings and musical events.
The initiative marvel it was organized by the Ballatoio cultural association and is presented by the Sansevero Chapel Museum, supported by Banco di Napoli SpA, which contributed to its realization.
