A story that began on Tuesday 27 September 2022, with the discovery of the body of the professor Marcello Toscano, 64 years old, hidden in a bush in the courtyard of the “Marino Guarano” middle school in Melito di Napoli and which ended yesterday with the arrest of Joseph Porcelli, the 54-year-old school worker guilty of committing the murder.
Five days during which the investigators, after having collected the testimonies from the people who knew of the less idyllic relationships between the support teacher and the school collaborator (the reason would be to be found in a loan that was never returned) and the images recorded by the video surveillance cameras , they worked hard to put a face to the culprit and arrest him.

The arrest of Joseph Porcelli it was validated by the judge on the morning of 1 October and, a few hours later, the accused was transferred to prison.
The teacher, according to the investigators, would have died from the wounds inflicted with a knife at the time of their fatal confrontation, which took place between 12.00 and 12.30 in the school yard while some teachers and students were still in class for the lessons of the morning.
However, some points remain open, which should be clarified on Monday 3 October 2022, when the autopsy on Toscano's body will be performed.
