Christmas Markets 2024 at the Reggia di Portici: Free Admission and Christmas Traditions

Also this year the suggestive Royal Riding Track of the Palace of Portici will welcome the traditional Christmas markets, Scheduled 12 to 22 December 2024. The event, with free admission, offers visitors a unique experience with around 30 exhibitors offering original gift ideas, Christmas decorations, typical products and gastronomic specialities.

A journey through Christmas stands and traditions

The stands will be distributed throughout the spaces of the Royal Riding Track, allowing visitors to explore new corners of the Palace. The opening hours will be from 10: 00 to 20: 00, with a food & beverage area that will remain open until 21:00. This area will be equipped with stands, food trucks, tables and chairs, offering typical Christmas and Neapolitan foods, such as:

• Fried and classic pizzas
• Sandwiches and arrosticini
• Chestnuts and hanging caciocavallo
• Hot drinks and sweet specialties

The event “Christmas in the Palace 2024”

The Christmas Markets are an integral part of Christmas at the Royal Palace 2024, the eighth edition of the event which will take place from 12 December 2024 to 6 January 2025 at the Royal Palace of Portici and the Royal Racetrack.

The event is organized by the Department of Agriculture of the University Federico II of Naples in collaboration with the MUSA Center and offers a rich program of activities for adults and children, including:

• Shows and entertainment for the little ones
• Guided tours of the Royal Palace
• Theatrical visits
• Seminars and tastings
• Stands selling crafts and typical products
• Scientific stations where researchers and Department staff will present experiments and thematic demonstrations related to university research.
