Mercato Meraviglia 2024, independent design and contemporary craftsmanship in Naples

From 13 to 15 December 2024, returns to Naples on Marvelous Market, the independent design fair now in its 15 edition. This year, the event will be held at the spaces of theFormer Military Hospital, in the heart of the Spanish Quarters. A unique event to discover contemporary craftsmanship, with free admission. Opening hours are:

• Friday 13 December: 16:00 - 24:00 PM
• Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December: 10:00 - 22:00 PM

History and organization

The Meraviglia Market, conceived by the association Archintorno, Founded in 2012 as a cultural bridge between Naples and Oaxaca, Mexico. Since its first edition, the event has promoted the culture of self-production and reuse, enhancing the historical and artistic heritage. This year, thanks to the collaboration with The Most Holy Community Hub, Urban Value and the Municipality of Naples, the Market celebrates a new phase of growth, with the patronage of the Diarc – Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II.

A program full of new features

La 15 edition of the Meraviglia Market stands out for:

• 70 exhibitors coming from all over Italy, with creations ranging from ceramics, weaving, goldsmithing and illustration.
• Art exhibition by Marta Perroni, curated by Francesca Blandino, who transforms visual fragments into poetic experiences.
• Free guided tours to the complex of the former Military Hospital, curated by Open House Naples.

Spaces dedicated to art and community

The event offers a mix of tradition and innovation, with sections dedicated to:

• Workshops for children organized by the Il Mattoncino bookshop.
• Workshop for adults, with a focus on craftsmanship and design.
• Evening concerts and DJ sets with artists such as Paolo Polcari, Funkool and Le Scalze Ensemble.
• Wonder Award, an award to women artisans for creativity and innovation, assigned to the 14 December at 18: 30.
