The Mergellina Funicular in Naples closes to the public due to the Coronavirus emergency.
On the official Facebook page of ANM we read that, on the day of Friday March 13 2020, Funicular of Mergellina in Naples anticipates closure.
In fact, the last race is scheduled at 18.10, while from March 14 it will close until further notice.
Extraordinary bus shuttle
To compensate for the inconvenience due to the closure, the bus line 621 on the Manzoni-Mergellina route. This shuttle is active only in the time slots between 7.00 and 10.00 and between 17.00 and 19.00.
Le shuttle stops they are those at the intermediate stations of the Funicular: and Mergellina (stop 2140 Funicular height), via Caracciolo, via Orazio, via Manzoni (stop 2262 Funicular height), via Stazio, via Orazio, Mergellina.

We report that the other means of transport foresee an early closure from 16 March.
In the meantime, we would like to reiterate that, to eradicate the infection with Coronavirus, it is necessary to stay at home if it is not strictly necessary to leave (for work, health and other needs indicated in the decree).
