Naples Metro 2, extraordinary runs for Naples-Monza and Naples-Palermo
On the occasion of the two eagerly awaited matches, Napoli-Palermo di Frecciarossa Italian Cup, scheduled for Thursday 26 September, and Naples-Monza di Serie A, which will be held on Sunday 29 September, Trenitalia has organised some extraordinary races of Subway 2 Line to make it easier for fans to return home.
With 7 additional trains available for each match, there will be a significant improvement in the service, which will guarantee good 3.400 additional seats per day.
Extraordinary runs for the Napoli – Palermo match
Thursday 26 September 2024, At 21.00, Napoli will face Palermo at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium for the Frecciarossa Italian Cup.
For the occasion, Trenitalia has planned 5 additional races departing from Naples Campi Flegrei to Naples San Giovanni-Barra e 2 runs towards Pozzuoli, For a total of 7 extraordinary trains.
Extraordinary runs for the Napoli – Monza match
Sunday 29 September 2024, At 20.45, the Diego Armando Maradona stadium will host the match Serie A between Naples and Monza. Also for this meeting, Trenitalia will guarantee 7 additional rides of Subway 2 Line departing from Naples Campi Flegrei, Of which 5 direct to Naples San Giovanni-Barra e 2 towards Pozzuoli.
Ticket purchasing recommendations
To facilitate access to trains, Trenitalia recommends fans to buy tickets in advance. Only those who will be in possession of a regular ticket will be able to access the extraordinary races, with the support of the dedicated staff, which together with the Police, will direct passengers to the platforms.
To ensure an efficient service during extraordinary runs, the Naples Campi Flegrei ticket office will remain open until the end of the sporting events. Furthermore, in the stations of Naples Piazza Garibaldi e Naples Campi Flegrei there will be leaders of Customer Service e FS Security.
But be careful: as usual with these extraordinary races, the Leopardi Square station will be closed from 22pm and will not be accessible to fans after the matches.
