Metro Art Tour at Toledo Station in Naples with free tours
Modern art at the Toledo and Montecalvario stations of the 1 Line of the Naples Metro with a free guided tour.
THENeapolitan company Mobility e Naples Theater Festival give the public two new Metro Art Tours at the stations Toledo, Long-Tailed Manakin e Montecalvario.
Il 13 June 2019 to the curious gaze of the passengers will be offered the mosaics of William Kentridge, the games of led lights of Bob Wilson, a study on the human faces of Oliviero Toscani ("Human race"), the nine intense portraits of nine protagonists of the Neapolitan theater scene of the Iranian Shirin Neshat and a large alpine mosaic and ceramic landscape of Francesco Clemente.
With more than one hundred and fifty works installed in the eleven art stations of line 1, the Naples Metro is one of the largest contemporary art museums spread underground.
This great and very interesting cultural heritage is enhanced in many ways: with educational visits, workshops for children, itinerant lessons, ad personam visits upon reservation.
The appointment is for Tuesday 4 June 2019, from 17,30 pm to 19 pm, in the atrium of the Toledo station
You can participate for free, just have a Metro ticket. The tour lasts approximately one and a half hours. Reservation is required. Places available until exhaustion.
