Metro line 1 Naples: the Piscinola-Garibaldi section reopens until 2 am

The whole section of the Piscinola-Garibaldi metro line 1 reopens in Naples on Saturday 8 February. The extension of the Central Funicular is scheduled for 2 o'clock at night.

Update: in the morning, unfortunately, the races are limited from Piscinola to Dante, despite the announcement of the complete opening. To limit the damage, Anm has activated the shuttle 602 from Dante to Garibaldi.

Finally good news arrives from the ANM of Naples which has communicated that the entire Piscinola-Garibaldi section of the Naples metro line 1 reopens from Saturday 8 February 2020.

After the accident about a month ago, which caused the stop first and then the only partial reopening of the metro, citizens and tourists can finally return to travel on trains that resume normal circulation.

Furthermore, the Saturday is also scheduled for night time extension until 2, also of the Funicolare.

The first races took place this morning:

  • from Piscinola at 6.00
  • from Garibaldi to 6.20

Night extension of metro line 1 and Central Funicular

As every Saturday evening, the night closing of the metro is with the following latest runs:

  • from Piscinola at 1.04
  • from Garibaldi to 1.32

For the Central Funicular the last run is at 2.00.
