The Euro 2024 qualifying match between Italy and England, scheduled for Thursday 23 March at 20.45, will surely bring many fans to the Maradona stadium. Therefore, given the opportunity, an extraordinary metropolitan train service will be established of the Metro Line 2.

Trenitalia, in fact, in agreement with the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples, has organized additional rides to facilitate the outflow of spectators after the sporting event, thus allowing them to go to the stadium and return home by public transport.

The times of the extraordinary service of the Metro Line 2

To allow supporters to return home by public transport, Trenitalia will circulate underground trains of Line 2 beyond the usual end time of the service.
Starting at 23.10in fact, there will be five additional trips departing from the Naples Campi Flegrei station.
Of these, four will be in the direction of Naples San Giovanni-Barra and one in the direction of Pozzuoli.

Tickets and advice for accessing trains

Access on board metropolitan trains will obviously only be allowed to those who show a regular travel ticket to railway staff.
Polfer and Protezione Aziendale will collaborate with the railway staff to direct passengers to the platforms of the departing subways and for checking coupons.

Given the crowd and the long waits, it is recommended to obtain the return train ticket before going to the match, so as to avoid queues or long waits at counters or vending machines.

The opening hours of the ticket offices

The Campi Flegrei ticket office it will remain open until the departure of the last race to allow the purchase of tickets, while the stop of Piazza Leopardi will only be open until 22.15 pm.
