The circulation of the Naples metro line 2 trains is suspended on the stretch from Campi Flegrei to San Giovanni Barra for some renovation!

From Saturday 1 to Tuesday 11 August 2020 the circulation of the Naples metro line 2 trains will be suspended on the route that goes from Naples Campi Flegrei to Naples San Giovanni Barra for some renovation works, as announced by the Italian Railway Network.

In addition, the stop will be closed from 12 to 16 August 2020 Montesanto. 

So to allow i renovation work like those that were previously carried out in Piazza Amedeo, for eleven days the circulation of trains of line 2 on the Campi Flegrei- San Giovanni Barra route will be suspended.

The Italian Railway Network has chosen to start the works in this period because there is a lower influx of passengers, and the completed works will be available new and certainly more functional overpasses available to travelers which will thus be able to reach the train platforms and the exit.

Replacement terminus and bus shuttles

La San Giovanni Barra station will be the terminus for the stations of Salerno, Castellammare di Stabia and Torre Annunziata Centrale. A will then be active shuttle service between Naples Central and San Giovanni Barra with departures every 30 minutes.

Furthermore, Campi Flegrei station will be the terminus for connections with Pozzuoli, while some trains to and from Caserta will originate or stop at Napoli Centrale.
