Metroart: a contemporary art course in Metronapoli art stations to train volunteers who will illustrate the works to tourists and citizens
Some of the reasons for the pride of the Naples metro are the avant-garde artistic works that great contemporary masters have created in various stations Metronapoli.
In this regard the Neapolis 2000 circles and the Legambiente Literary Park of Vesuvius, in collaboration with Metronapoli and with the patronage of the Municipality, organized a contemporary art course and educational visits inside the Art Stations: Metroart, the beauty in transit places.
The course and guided tours will be held by Dr. Mara Corbi, art historian and manager of the Artistic Heritage Management Office of Metronapoli SpA. The recipients are students and graduates in artistic and historical-artistic subjects and the partners of Legambiente interested in becoming volunteers able to illustrate the works exhibited in the Art Stations to tourists and Neapolitan citizens.
How to participate
Participation in the course is free but it is preferable to register with Legambiente which includes insurance. Those who intend to be part of the initiative will have to send the application by 30 April to the e-mail address legambiente.neapolis@gmail
At the end of the course a certificate of participation will be issued by the Legambiente Neapolis 2000 club.
When and where
The course Metroart it will take place in 16 distributed hours on some May dates 2013 (8,15,22,29) from 9: 30 to 13: 30. The classroom phase will be held in a room in the historic center, while the educational visits at the stations of the Metro Line 1 of Dante, Toledo and University.
The Legambiente initiative is part of a series of activities aimed at promoting the culture, art and beauty of the city of Naples with the aim of reviving the interest of the community in its territory.
