Public transport Scudetto celebration in Naples for May 26. Metro Line 1 and Funiculars (Update)

Monday May 26 2025, Anm informs that some temporary changes will affect the city's public transport to allow the safe carrying out of the SSC Napoli celebratory parade.

The parade will cross the stretch between Via Sannazaro and Piazza Vittoria, an area that will be traffic prohibited for reasons of public order. Consequently, subway, funiculars and bus lines will be subject to changes or suspensions, according to the following detail. Regular users are advised to plan their travel in advance and take into account the changes also in light of the possible extraordinary influx of people into the city.

Which services remain guaranteed

On the occasion of the SSC Napoli celebratory parade scheduled for Monday 26 May 2025, ANM guarantees the full operation of some fundamental lines for city mobility. The non-stop service of Metro Line 1 throughout the day, as well as that of the Funicolari Centrale, Chiaia and Montesanto, without interruptions. Even the main Interchange parking lots will remain open 24 hours a day: Brin, Colli Aminei, Dell'Erba, Chiaiano, Scampia, Pianura, Bagnoli, Frullone, Aulisio, Management Center and Grimaldi.

  • Metro Line 1: active non-stop.
  • Funicolari Centrale, Chiaia and Montesanto: active without interruptions.
  • Interchange parking spaces: 24-hour opening confirmed for Frullone, Aulisio, Centro Direzionale, Grimaldi, Brin, Colli Aminei, Dell'erba, Chiaiano, Scampia, Pianura and Bagnoli.

Which lines will undergo changes or suspensions

For reasons of public order and to allow the celebratory parade to take place, several ANM bus lines will undergo route changes or temporary suspensions:

  • Line 112: from 06:00, coming from via Consalvo, continues along viale Augusto, via Doria, via Leopardi, via Arlotta, via Bixio, via Consalvo and resumes the regular route.
  • Line 128: from 09:00, limit and park in Piazza Amedeo.
  • Lines 140 and C21: both suspended from 09:00 until no longer needed.
  • Line 151: from 06:00 to 09:00, the route is limited to Piazza Sannazaro; from 09:00 it is suspended until no longer necessary.
  • Line 154: suspended for the entire day of May 26th.
  • R7 line: from 06:00 limit the route to via delle Legioni, maintaining the connection to Bagnoli.
  • C16 Line: limits and stops at the Mergellina station of Metro Line 2.

Metro Line 6 and Mergellina Funicular: Timetable Update

Some rail services will also undergo changes:

  • Metro Line 6: performs ordinary service with last runs at 14pm from Mostra e 14pm from Town Hall.
  • Funicular of Mergellina: suspended from 16:00 pm until the needs cease, upon order of the Prefecture.

The times indicated may change in real time, based on the evolution of the event and the progressive closure of the roads. ANM invites users to stay updated by consulting its official channels and suggests, where possible, to anticipate the movements or use the lines active throughout the day.

The Operations Center and the management structure of the operation will constantly monitor the situation, with the possibility of further adjustments to the service.
