The month of the Conversation in Naples: many cultural events to communicate away from smartphones

gambrinus

A month of cultural and social events to rediscover the pleasure of chatting in many cafés and historical locations in Naples with the "Conversation Month"

Loading ...

Until the February 17 2019 in Naples, many cultural and social initiatives are scheduled for the Month of Conversation, an event aimed at disconnecting participants from electronic devices to rediscover the pleasure of conversation. Many cafes and monuments will host the many events planned for this month.

The event is inspired by a text of the philosopher George steiner and taken from his "A certain idea of Europe", which compares Europe to "a coffee full of people and words, in which verses are written, conspired, philosophized and practiced civil conversation; (...) on the wooden tables of which, between walls yellowed by smoke, all the great philosophical systems, formal experiments, ideological and aesthetic revolutions were born. "

The event is linked to the "Day of disconnection" promoted by the City of Naples less than a year ago and gives to all citizens many opportunities to disconnect and listen.
