Mostra d'Oltremare Half Marathon and Expo Villaggio della Salute in Naples
The Mostra d'Oltremare Half Marathon is a 3-day event that includes a half marathon, a derby race and the installation of the Expo Villaggio della Salute
Waiting for International Marathon of Napoli, which will also involve the municipality of Pozzuoli, our city will host another important sporting event: the Mostra d'Oltremare Half Marathon.
As can be easily deduced from the name, it is a half marathon that will start and end in the Mostra d'Oltremare. The planned route will cross some of the most beautiful streets in Naples, in addition to the beautiful gardens and the fantastic fountain of the Esedra within the exhibition.
In fact, starting from Viale Kennedy, the participating athletes will head towards the Lungomare Caracciolo and, through via Partenope, they will arrive in Piazza del Plebiscito. From there, they will continue towards Corso Umberto, reaching Piazza Carità, Piazza Dante and Via Toledo and then return to the Lungomare and, backwards, to the Mostra d'Oltremare.
All this for a path of 21,0975km which will take place on February 2nd. But the Half Marathon is also one 3 days of events which include a Stracittadina race on 1 February (non-competitive, open to all, at free pace and inside the exhibition grounds) and'Expo-Village of Health.
The latter will be open 31 2 from January to February at Pavilion 10 and provides free medical consultations as part of the "Days of Preventive Medicine" curated by Emanuela Di Napoli Pignatelli.
Finally, there will also be live music on the stage of the Flegrean Arena.
The whole event is sponsored by the Municipality of Naples and organized by the ASD RuNaples in collaboration with Mostra d'Oltremare Spa.

- 10.00-13.00 - Meeting with schools on medical prevention: sexually transmitted diseases and contraception; obesity, smoking. Free walking tour of the park
- 13.00 pm - Meeting between two generations of midwives from Campania
- 14.00pm-18.00pm - ECM course reserved for Midwives
- 18.00-21.00 - Tango in the "covered square" of the Expo
February 1, 2014
- 10 am - Meeting with schools on the issues of legality. Participation of students in the Stracittadina.
- 12.00 - Stracittadina: Tour of the Park of the Mostra d'Oltremare at free pace, for everyone.
- Free registration for children under the 18; share of 5 euro for adults, for the benefit of preventive medicine initiatives. In particular, one euro of each registration fee will be donated to the Italian Society of Rheumatology (SIR) for its research projects
- 15.00-17.00 - Meeting dedicated to patients by the Italian Society of Nephrology
- 17.00-18.00 - Theoretical-practical demonstrations of PILATES, a discipline useful for the runner
- 18.00-19.00 - How to train, how to compete: the questions of the runners, the answers of the experts
- 19.00 - Live music

- Half Marathon starting from the Mostra d'Oltremare, route towards the seafront and the historic center and arrival at the Exhibition.

Conventioned parking
During the 3 days of the event, the parking inside the Exhibition, along via Terracina, will have an agreement at a cost of € 2 and for an unlimited time for January 31 and February 1. On February 2, parking will be free from 7 to 8.15 for the benefit of athletes, then the agreed rate of € 2 will start again.
