Madre Museum, "The Years. Chapter 3" arrives: the permanent collection will be renewed starting July 9th.

Il Mother Museum of Naples is preparing to welcome the third chapter of the exhibition project “The Years”, the ambitious reorganization of the permanent collection inspired by the Nobel Prize winner's novel of the same name annie ernauxThe opening is scheduled for Thursday July 9 2026 starting at 11:00, with free admission.

Following the success of Chapter 2, which concluded on June 1st, Madre returns to reinterpret its works through a perspective that intertwines personal and collective memory, following the narrative thread of Ernaux's literary masterpiece. The exhibition will be open until October 5, 2026.

The "The Years" project represents an innovative way to present the museum's permanent collection, combining contemporary art and literature in a journey that evolves over time. Each chapter presents a different selection of works, offering visitors a constantly fresh perspective on the Madre's heritage.

At the same time, the Madre Museum also hosts the major retrospective “Maria Lai. To be is to weave”, open until September 21, 2026, with approximately 200 works that retrace over sixty years of the Sardinian artist's career.
