During the month of August 2016 the Mother Museum of Naples will be open for free and there will be educational visits!

The Madre Museum in Naples will remain open free of charge throughout the month of August 2016 , repeating the initiative of previous years, and allowing tourists and citizens to visit the exhibitions set up inside.

Thanks to the enormous success of previous years, the museum has decided to repeat the free visit, offering an additional option for those staying in the city during the month of August. It will also be an opportunity to further explore contemporary art through the exhibitions of Italian and international artists featured at Madre.

Currently, one of the exhibitions on display is the one featuring photographs by master photographer Mimmo Jodice , a great witness to our times with his shots and his depiction of everyday life, from the 60s to the present day . Furthermore, a new work by artist Daniel Buren , located at the entrance, offers a unique perspective of the building itself in relation to its location. Finally, there is also the exhibition by Camille Henrot, Luna di Latte.

Educational visits

In addition to free admission, the Madre Museum offers a series of educational tours every Saturday , Sunday , and Monday to link the enjoyment of the works with their understanding and offer food for thought on the languages ​​of contemporary life.

This initiative is offered by Madre Educational Services and includes two daily sessions , at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with in-depth discussions on artistic practices related to the Mimmo Jodice and Camille Henrot exhibitions. Reservations are required.
