The Museum

The church of Santa Maria Donnaregina Nuova is a splendid monumental church of the city of Naples that rises in the homonymous wide and that from the 2007, together with the adjacent church of Old woman, has become part of the Diocesan Museum of Naples.

The structure of the Diocesan Museum

In the New Church it is possible to visit the sacristy, theantisacrestia, the back altar, the choir of the nuns and the converse, the rooms dedicated to the Christ's passion, to the consecrated life, to works of mercy, martyrdom, sacraments and precious objects. Moreover, it is possible to admire, among others, paintings by Luca Giordano, Francesco Solimena and Andrea Vaccaro.

The Old Church houses the Loffredo chapel, the funeral monument to Mary of Hungary and the choir of nuns.

  • From Monday to Saturday from 9: 30 to 16: 30
  • Sunday from 9: 30 to 14: 00
  • Closed on Tuesdays

  • Reduced € 4 (over 65, under 18, groups)
  • Reduced € 3 (students, parishes)
  • Free for ministers of worship, disabled and accompanying persons, ICOM card holders

Subway Line 2 Cavour station, or subway Line 1 Station Museum, cross the square and walk via Duomo up to Largo Donnaregina (about 7 minutes on foot)
