Capodimonte Museum: new buses from via Toledo

Museum of Capodimonte

From Naples Center to the Capodimonte Museum: the connection between two great Neapolitan art galleries promised by Intesa San Paolo.

Is the Capodimonte Museum well connected to the city center? Are tourists and Neapolitan citizens tempted to discover and rediscover all the magnificent treasures kept inside? According to the director of the Capodimonte Museum Sylvain Bellenger, no. Perhaps the initiative of Intesa Sanpaolo.

Bus Naples Center - Capodimonte: an old problem

During a meeting organized in Milan by Intesa Sanpaolo on the theme of Sustainable development, Bellenger he stressed once again how much the situation is extremely penalizing for the Museum and how many times, in the past years, have you searched for a dialogue with institutions who, however, have never been able or able to improve the connections between the nerve center of city tourism, therefore the historic center of Naples, with the Capodimonte hill.

Currently, the Director says, only one bus should pass in front of Capodimonte starting from the center of Naples, but it is so rarely seen that the Neapolitans have nicknamed it "The invisible".

Intesa San Paolo's answer

As recently reported by The print, during the meeting in Milan the CEO of Intesa San Paolo wanted take up the challenge promising the creation of one bus line formed by at least 5 vehicles.

As proposed by Michael Coppola, central director of Art Culture and Historical Heritage of Intesa San Paolo, the new buses could shuttle between the headquarters of Galleria d'Italia in Naples in Via Toledo (owned by Intesa San Paolo) and Capodimonte Museum.
