Music in the sacred places: guided tours and free concerts in the monumental churches of Naples
Free concerts of cultured and popular music in some of the most beautiful churches in Naples!
The cycle of free concerts of the "Music in the sacred places" initiative in Naples began on November 27, 2015 with the performance of an unpublished score by Alessandro Scarlatti at the Ancient Music Center of the Pietà dei Turchini Foundation. The next events will be held every weekend in the Advent season and will have as central themes that of the Nativity and the figure of the Virgin Mary.
To frame will be some of the most fascinating sacred places of the city, like the churches of Santa Maria Apparente and di Santa Maria Donnaregina Nuova.
The project, realized thanks to the collaboration between the Campania Region and the Archdiocese of Naples, includes a series of four concerts of traditional sacred music and guided tours of the monuments involved. All events scheduled are free admission, subject to availability and reservations required.
