In the month of September 2022, the works of twenty year review of the Chiaia Funicular in Naples. In the recent press release of the Giunta, released on May 23, 2023, it was announced that the works of twenty-year maintenance for the Chiaia Funicular were assigned to the Company Graffer srl. The signing of the contract will require a phase of verification and assignment within two months, while the company will be given 10 months to complete the work envisaged in the tender.
This news represents a significant step towards the restoration of the long-awaited Chiaia Funicular. Despite the delays from the originally scheduled date for reopening, the assignment of the works offers a concrete hope for citizens who wish to see this important means of transport back in operation.
