Naples, buses suspended for the Giro di Italia 2024 on May 12th

Il 12 May 2024, Napoli will become the central stage of Tour of Italy, welcoming cyclists from all over the world for the ninth stage starting from Avezzano.

The race, spread over a route of 206 km with a height difference of 1300 meters, will end at Napoli. With the arrival of this great event, the city will experience temporary changes in mobility, especially in public transport services operated by ANM, to ensure the safe and spectacular running of the race.

Buses suspended by ANM for the 2024 Giro d'Italia

In response to the logistical needs of Tour of Italy,ANM announced major changes to public transport service for May 12th. Different bus lines will be suspended or modified to facilitate the passage of the race and ensure the safety of participants and spectators. The changes affect the following lines:

180    Departing from the terminus, it travels along viale G. Cesare, via degli Scipioni, vale Augusto, via Marino and the ordinary route. Returning from Scampia, exit the ring road at the Vomero junction, via Pigna, Vomero/Pianura junction, via Cinthia, via Marino/viale Augusto intersection, continue along the avenue in front of the Polytechnic (reversed direction of travel) and park     
181    Departing from the terminus, it travels along viale G. Cesare, via degli Scipioni, vale Augusto, via Marino and the ordinary route. Returning from via Marino/viale Augusto intersection, continue along the avenue in front of the Polytechnic (reversed direction of travel) and park     
502    Departing from the terminus, it travels along viale G. Cesare, via degli Scipioni, vale Augusto, via Marino and the ordinary route, reversing the route in viale Giochi del Mediterraneo roundabout with via Barbagallo.   
612    Regular service    
618    Returning from via Marino/viale Augusto intersection, continue along the avenue in front of the Polytechnic (reversed direction of travel) and park

C16  Piedigrotta goes back uphill terminus

C31  It moves back to the terminus at Manzoni/Torre Ranieri where it limits the route

R6   Departing from the terminus, it travels along viale G. Cesare, via degli Scipioni, vale Augusto, via Marino and the ordinary route. Returning from via Marino/viale Augusto intersection, continue along the avenue in front of the Polytechnic (reversed direction of travel) and park     
R7  The terminus moves back to Piazzale Tecchio. Returning from Piazza Vittoria, from Riviera di Chiaia, continue along via Piedigrotta, 4 Giornate gallery, via C. Duilio, viale Augusto, then left along the inter-avenue in front of the Polytechnic (reversed direction of travel) and parking.
