The Napoli Bike Festival returns with many surprises and news for the 2016 edition!
A fantastic appointment for all lovers of one of the oldest and most used means of transport in the world. From the 20 22 May 2016 in fact it will be held at Mostra d'Oltremare the project Naples Bike Festival, an event that will see the development of many activities within the Fuorigrotta complex, but also around the city. In fact, among the novelties there will also be the possibility to participate in one race with bike ed vintage clothes.
The theme and the news
The main theme of the 2016 edition will be "City in Pedali“, A red thread that will bring together many stories related to bicycles and will make us understand how this vehicle has changed Italian cities for the better, including Naples.
Many, then, the novelties of this year such as, for example, the intention to introduce the bicycle in areas such as Healthcare and create new pedestrian areas and cycle paths, but also aapplication for smartphone called "Cycle Stop " that will work as a Trip Advisor for cyclists aimed at informing about places and routes not to be missed.
Also Ciro Oliva, pizza maker of the historic pizzeria Concettina ai Tre Santi, wanted to pay homage to the project by presenting a pizza ad hoc for the occasion: the "cyclist's pizza".
One will also be organized pedaling vintage call Cazzimbocchia in which you will travel 50km in homage to the Eroica, one race for cyclists of yesteryear with bikes of the past.
The main protagonist will be the pump truck, a modular track with curves and bumps where there is no need to pedal as you move with the rhythmic movement of the arms and handlebars. The Bike Academy has been active for a year on this type of track, to train the RIDER experts and train those less experienced.There will also be the Are Bici on display with professional bicycle dealers and manufacturers who will do tests with pedal assisted bikes, tandems, scooters
The program will also be full of other events, debates, music, book presentations, art exhibitions, activities for the little ones, sporting events, afood area with quality products and much more. In addition, the more than 10 organized itineraries will start from the exhibition for a total of 400km routes between nature, sea and dirt paths.
