Naples, concerts "Pausilypon, suggestions at dusk" May and June 2013

The evening concerts are back and will take place in the fascinating and beautiful scenery of the environmental archaeological park of Pausilypon, for an event with a captivating name: “Pausilypon, suggestions at dusk”. The Park, located in Posillipo, is among the most interesting places in the city to visit as it concentrates some of the most interesting archaeological evidence of Naples.

It includes the Seiano cave, the submerged park of the gaiola , the Imperial Villa of Pausilypon, the Odeon theater and the palace of the Spirits and it is in the frame of these splendid environments that the concerts "at dusk" will be held. The appointments, which have come to theirs 4th edition, will be 8 and will start from Saturday 11 May. For each of them there is a guided tour through a path lit by torches, to accompany the spectators, through the Grotta di Seiano, to the ancient Roman Theater.

11st May

Saturday 11 May the “Viaggioinduo”, a musical project by two Neapolitan artists, Mariano Bellopede and Carmine Marigliano, will perform. The one pianist, the other flutist, have graduated from the conservatory and have a classical education, while incorporating varied sounds in their music.

12st May

Annie Pempinello, narrator, and Nicola Rando, saxophonist, with their project "Ithaca" will tell us about Dante's Ulysses of Hell and Leopardi's L'Infinito, through a path made of poetry that will also include other authors and writers .

18st May

The Ajar Qaurtet, composed of a pianist, a trumpet player, a double bass player and a drummer, will perform with the “Sunset Clouds” concert. Ajar in English means half-closed / half-open and the meaning refers to an “opening as a movement towards, but also a closing as a refuge in… all never categorically. A melodic flow that starts from the Mediterranean and expires towards northern Europe, in evocative atmospheres of contaminated jazz of ECM matrix ”, as defined by the group itself.

19st May

Stella Gifuni will delight the evening of May 19th with her harp, for an evening entitled “The Harp: the sounds of the sea”. The soft music of the harpist, combined with the atmosphere of twilight with the background of the sea of ​​the Gaiola, will create a magic that will envelop all spectators.

25st May

For the evening of May 25th, Egidio Valente and Beatrice Valente will present “Onde”. The two brothers will propose the theme of the sea, re-arranging pieces by Lucio Dalla, Pino Daniele, Eduardo De Crescenzo, Bruno Lauzi and many other musicians.

26st May

Andrea de Goyzueta, theatrical and cinema actor, together with Fabio Rossi, also an actor, also on television, will present the evening “Madrigale infuga”. It is a musical tale about Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa.

1nd June

Franco Capriello, at the piano, and Daniela Fiorentino, vocals, will propose pieces of the Neapolitan tradition, sometimes with French translations, interpreting Edith Piaf in a masterly way and virtually connecting her to the Neapolitan Maestro Salvatore Di Giacomo. The evening will be titled "Piano and voice at sunset"

2nd June

For the last night, Ray Bradbury's "Silent Cities". The actor Stefano Scognamiglio and the guitarists Gianluca Capurro and Riccardo Marconi, will face the tales of the well-known American writer and screenwriter.
