Naples and the great Jazz festival 2025. Dates, events and details

From 24 April at 4 May 2025, Napoli will transform into the Italian capital of jazz, with a kermesse of concerts, shows and street initiatives. The festival, organized by the Municipality of Naples as part of the project Naples City of Music, will coincide with two symbolic dates: Liberation Day on April 25th and Labour Day on May 1st, in addition to the International Jazz Day proclaimed by UNESCO, which falls on 30th April.

An event designed to celebrate jazz music as a symbol of peace, intercultural dialogue and respect for human rights, with the involvement of nationally and internationally renowned artists and the integration of self-produced initiatives from the local community.

A rich program between tradition and innovation

The event will not only be an opportunity to listen to great names in jazz, but also to discover the musical and cultural richness of Naples. The performances will take place in squares, theatres and symbolic places of the city, with concerts by emerging bands and established names. At the same time, a interactive and paper map of jazz venues in Naples, to guide citizens and tourists through the main musical spaces of the city.

In addition to the concerts, there will be workshops, laboratories and conferences to explore jazz as an educational and creative tool, with a particular focus on its ability to connect different cultures.

How to participate: the Municipality's announcement

The Municipality of Naples has published a Call for expressions of interest aimed at establishing a list of self-supported and self-organized jazz musical activities. The aim is to create a shared program that enhances the variety of local initiatives and ensures effective communication of the event. Applications can be submitted by 10:XNUMX a.m. 20 March 2025.
